got a call from "Scotiabank" (case sensitive) at 647-943-2911 at 8:47am. I have received phone calls from Scotiabank but their number that I typcially get a call from starts with a 1-844 or a 1-877 or 1-888. 647 is typically a cell phone number so didn't bother picking up

Says bank acct about to be seized due to SIN issue. Avoid.

I've answered twice and they are looking for participants for different surveys and research opportunities. Usually offer a nice monetary incentive too. Made $200 for 2 hours of sitting in a discussion group

Freedom Mobile voice mail

Hi there,
I googled this after I got a call from scotiabank. I don't believe this is a scam call. I called earlier in the day regarding my credit card. I got a call about an hour later from this number. When i called it back to make sure it wasnt a scam it goes straight back to the scotiabank customer care line.

Computers can be set to auto-dial a sequence of numbers.
Regardez:  123-4567, 123-4568... etc.

Your number came up.  Computer don't care it 3 people or 3 million have the next number in the sequence. No way to really fix that.

I never answer calls from unknown numbers.  This one had no ID.  It left no voice message.  Must have been some sort of a sleazy scam, or political crap (same thing!).  Robocalling equipment should be banned.  Users of it should be jailed or sent back to where they came from, prior castration optional. :-)
