Recieved a call from this number today. It was a computerized recording saying that I am under federal investigation and that if I dont want charges filed against me in court then I should stay on the line and talk to an officer. I stayed on and a man came on the phone asking me my name. I asked him what this was concerning. He asked me 3 more times for my name I asked him what this was concerning and how did he get my phone number. The man hung up. Totally a fake message and they are trying to obtain as much information as possible about the person the phone number so they can use your information for fraud.
I don't think this is Ottawa Humane Society. It's not the telephone number listed for them on their website, nor does their name show up on ***.ca reverse search. It seems to be another scam.

This number is Americredit.. our car loan is through this company. Its not a scam number.
They are keep calling with not up-to-date information and ask for the payment that I have paid already.
Received several calls from that number over a 2 weeks period, only today they finally left a message saying I was under investigation for fraud...And needed to call back that number, otherwise I would get arrested by the RCMP!!
This is ridiculous and authorities should trace them back and punish them for doing that kind of calls out of the blue!!
For those who get similar messages...IGNORE THAT SCAM!!!

Called saying they tried reaching me multiple times, never been called by this number before. Said if I didn't reach them the case would go to the courthouse for my arrest.

Miss called so call back and a dude pick up said he is CRA so I hang up
Three days later, they again called my DO-NOT-CALL land-line at 17:18 Pacific.
I picked-up the handset, but said nothing, and heard nothing.
After 20 seconds of silence, they hung-up.
Leaves no message. When you call it back says the number is not in service. Some kind of scam.
Ignore this number, it's a Scam claiming to be Revenue Canada.

Threatening me that this is the last attempt to contact me to appear before a judge in federal criminal court. To my knowledge, I have never been arrested or even had a ticket. Nice try. The left a voicemail.

Same here today April 04th. They left a pre-recorded female voice message saying that the call is from the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) and that I should call back to avoid prosecution on federal court in Canada due to some tax issue. I did not call back.

Said this was my last chance to respond before I would be up before a federal judge. Only got this phone yesterday so it's obviously a scam.
I was threatened that I was going in front of a ‘magistrate judge’ or a ‘grand jury’ for a federal crime. And I was going to be prosecuted unless I speak to a ‘federal agent’. These are all American terms. Canada does not have magistrates these are called simply as judges. Federal agents are part of the is FBI. DEFINITELY A SCAM. DO NOT CALL BACK! And I did not commit any crime ...I am a retired scientist !
